It is our philosophy that this is the Group’s Group, and so this particular Monthly Activity is open to ALL Members.
Simply Watch for the Group Blog about it on the last or first day of each month.

It is truly a wonderful and loyal commitment to our Group, to take time out each month to look through our beautiful folders, and choose works for our monthly Top Submissions, and believe me, I KNOW it is not easy... given the extreme talent we have here.   
Not to mention, it takes time to do this, and we are ALL very busy.

And given that we are a large group, we DO need enough Members to vote, to give a nice enough representation of what is reflected in our folders.

So, as you can see, this is pretty important, all the way around for our Group!

It is why, it is very important to recognize those Member and Admins., of our Group, who are very helpful in this process for us, and therefore supply us with this amazing monthly activity.

Thank You Admins. for March

Some of you may recall, that I had to travel a couple times this year for personal family reasons... and as a couple or few times can happen during the year, MARCH, was an ADMIN. Choice Month for our Top Submissions of March 2012.

This does help my work load a lot, even though I do prefer to open it to the total Membership.

I am so happy with my fellow-Administrators. They are excellent people to work with, and they do work SO hard for this group!

First of all - the CONTEST begins tomorrow!
The theme is "Reflections" and all media are welcome!
The contest starts on May, 1 and ends on May, 31
Here are the rules:
1. The entiries should be new, submitted not earlier than April 2012.
2. The entry should depict some kind of a reflection. If it's not obvious an explanation should be given in the comment.
3. There should be this in your comment < b >An entry to the contest "REFLECTIONS", held by : iconourarea51 :< / b > (spaces should be removed for the code to work)
4. Each artist may submit not more than 3 entries (in one or different media)
5. The entries should be submitted to the contest folder (it will be opened for submissions on May, 1)

NEW CONTEST- COLORFUL BIRDS PHOTOGRAPHY!Well members voted and commented...so we shall begin our "Colorful Birds" contest!
The rules will be as follows-
All submissions go into our gallery folder labeled "Colorful Birds Contest".
Must be a member to submit, and only one entry per member.
Submit what you think is your best capture of a colorful bird, whether it be wild, your pet, or at a zoo.  Make sure the photo submissions are as follows, as the admin will be checking the submissions.
- Good focus and obviously centered on a bird.
- Submit what you think is your most colorful photo.   The bird itself doesn't necessarily have to be the most colorful aspect of the photo. If you submit, for instance, a brown sparrow surrounded by colorful flowers (perched in a rose bush for example) that too will be accepted. We are just looking for color and composition to be the focus.

Back on August the 5th 2011 this group had 25 Members and I was near close to closing it down because I thought it was an absouloute FAILURE...
